SIGGRAPH 2007 – Exhibition on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, Emerging Technologies section, San Diego – 5-9 August, 2007
The goal is to show a working example of a system with real-time captured data of human actors complete with the geometry, texturing, and dynamics of the body, insert the acquired 3D data stream into a high-quality 3D scenario, present the resulting scene to the naked eye in true 3D or on a large-scale holographic display. The humans represented by the captured data will interact naturally and comfortably with presented virtual objects using their body parts. As the capture system is not ready for transportation we will provide other means to track user interaction, namely a sophisticated hands tracking system. We will show the real-time full body capture on videos.
